Mail-In Repair

Keys to a successful mail-in repair experience.

What is mail-in repair?

Mail-in repair is simply that. You mail us your device. We triage the device and fix anything preventing it from operating correctly.

There are some essential things to consider when sending us your device.

  1. Back-Up Your Data—When sending in a device containing your data, such as a laptop or iPad, you will want to ensure you have backed up all your personal data. Back up anything you do not wish to lose.
The technicians may have to reset or wipe the data to correct specific issues.
  2. Shipping Label—Make sure you use the shipping label sent by bolt for your mail-in repair. For your device to be received and serviced promptly, you must ensure you are sending the device to the correct repair facility. You can do this by using the shipping label provided to you at the time of claim.
  3. Remove your accessories— Make sure you remove all device accessories, such as cases, chargers, and styluses, before you send in your device, as these will not be returned to you when you get your device back.

Also, remove all SIM cards, SD cards, or any other type of memory card and store them in a safe place. Please don't send the SIM card in the package with your device—it won't be returned to you.

  4. Check your bolt claims portal for updates on your repair once you have shipped the device to us using the bolt return label.
