Starting on the date of purchase, the Protection Plan provides coverage for accidental damage from normal use:
- Drops
- Spills
- Cracked screens (for eligible items)
- Power surge failures
- Accessories included in the box by the seller
The Protection Plan doesn't cover theft and loss, cosmetic, or intentional damage to your device.
Please note that there's a service fee for smartphone claims. After your claim is accepted, you’ll need to pay the service fee with a valid credit or debit card before service or reimbursement is provided. The fee amount will be based on the phone’s purchase price and whether the phone has to be repaired or replaced. Tablets, laptops, and other items don’t have service fees.
What’s the difference between the seller's warranty and insurance?
The 12-month minimum warranty is included for every purchase on Back Market. This warranty covers defects and functionality issues.
If you’re having issues with your device and want to use the warranty, you can contact Back Market directly about it from your Back Market account by selecting “Get help” next to the order.
With the extra insurance, you can get full accidental damage coverage through bolt.
More information on the warranty can be found here: Seller's 1-year Warranty
