The warranty automatically comes with the purchase of any device on Back Market. It covers all defects for hardware and software.

Warranty exclusions
The warranty is limited to technical defects and component issues that affect the functionality of your item. The warranty will not cover your item if it is:
- Lost, dropped, or broken
- Damaged by liquids (oxidation)
- Opened for repair or diagnosis by a third party (anyone other than the seller)
In other words, if a malfunction occurs with your item, but it has been broken/oxidized/opened by a third party, or shows signs of impact due to a fall, the warranty will no longer apply.
Note that the original waterproofing by the manufacturer is rarely maintained on refurbished devices. During the refurbishing process, devices are opened so that tests can be carried out, which is why sealing is not guaranteed on refurbished items.
Good to know
Be sure to let BackMarket know as soon as your device is defective. Otherwise, your service request may be rejected, and the seller won't be obligated to repair or replace your item.
What’s the difference between the seller's warranty and insurance?
The 12-month minimum warranty is included for every purchase on Back Market. This warranty covers defects and functionality issues.
If you’re having issues with your device and want to use the warranty, you can contact Back Market directly about it from your Back Market account by selecting “Get help” next to the order.
With the extra insurance, you can get full accidental damage coverage through bolt.
